Its been a while since our last DIY, we’ve been up to a lot of exciting stuff. The most recent was our Ankara Workshop which held last week Monday&Tuesday! It was awesome I tell you, see how it went here.
Today I would be showing you how to make an Ankara Pocket and how you can attach it to anything! I would be using one of our signature tote bags as an example.
Cute pockets right!
- Ankara Material (duhh ? )
- Glue / Sewing machine
- whatever you want to attach your pocket to
Step 1 : Cut out a square shape using your desired dimensions. 5in x 5in would be fine
Step 2: Fold the squared material into two and cut off the edges in a triangular shape
Step 3: Turn the edges in round the pocket shape and sew/ glue
Step 4: Take your now-formed pocket and sew/glue neatly to your shirt/ bag/ book/ wherever you want.
Step 5: Show it off!?
I hope this tutorial was helpful enough. Please let me know in the comments below if you need any further clarification. Or if you’d prefer a video to further explain this, also let me know.
